I bought tickets to see David Cross at the comedy fest last year (2009). The event was advertised as David cross live (when I purchased them as part of the pre-sale).

Unknown to me, until i got there, this was not a stand up comedy show but a book reading. I was not the only audience member to be surprised by this.

In short make sure you know what you are buying tickets for (pre-sale may not be the way to go as full event details may not be released), as it seems that many of the events aren't stand up comedy but rather interviews, talks, and apparently book readings.

I love comedy but will not be supporting the Global Comedy Fest 2010.

A lovely review. Reba definitely puts on a terrific show. She has great energy, she sounds wonderful and she looks beautiful.

My only issue with your review - you make it sound like Reba's father is no longer alive! Her parents are alive and well. Reba has said in many interviews that her father did not say, "I love you" to his kids - it just wasn't his way - although the whole family knew he loved them. But I suppose that it part of the magic about Reba - she can make you feel every emotion in a song so much that you think they are true stories.
