On a diet of David Lynch and sweaty backstage greenrooms the TV Heart Attack saga continues with their latest recording ‘Lost in the Sway’.
The band had one thing in mind holed up at The Farm Studios during the harshest winter Vancouver had seen in decades. Blow away all expectations. From the vulnerable rocker single ‘A/O’ to the haunting ‘Wolves’ this is an unrelenting collection of songs that delves deeper and harder into the psyche of what made the self-titled debut resonate with such clarity.
Since their formation in late 2005 TV Heart Attack has released a critically acclaimed independent debut album, showcased their notorious live sets at Virgin and NXNE Music Festival, and have shared the stage with such notable acts as The Killers, The Von Bondies, The French Kicks, 54-40, and Art Bergman.
The first single off their debut album, ‘Hypnotic Eyes’, was a radio favorite in the summer of 2007, leading the band on several Canadian tours.

Bend Sinister is a progressive-indie band from Vancouver, BC, named after a novel by Vladimir Nobokov.
The band formed in 2001 and began playing as many dive bar shows as they possibly could in their home town of Kelowna. After their move to Vancouver BC, selling out a four-song EP, and acquiring a new drummer and guitarist, the band sought out local producer Shawn Cole to put together what is now their first full-length album ‘Through The Broken City’. The band did three consecutive nationwide tours in support of the album.
After gaining experience from the road, Bend Sinister returned to the studio to record a few new songs. These songs included the single “Time Breaks Down”, which moved the band into uncharted territory and captured the attention of Distort Entertainment president, Greg Below.
In 2006, Bend Sinister switched labels to newly formed sister division of Distort Entertainment, Distort Light.
In January 2006, the band performed a set of six songs in session at CBC Television Studio 2. Later, CBC featured the band in a short film, “Meat the Band – Bend Sinister”, on the television show ZeD. The band released its third album, a self titled EP, on September 4, 2007 and toured Canada supporting it under the sponsorship of CBC Radio 3, including a stop at Pop Montreal on October 7, 2007.
After a few more changes to their lineup, Bend Sinister returned to the studio once again in 2008 in order to put together what was to become their second full-length album, ‘Stories Of Brothers, Tales Of Lovers’. ‘Stories Of Brother, Tales Of Lover,’ was released on October 21, 2008. Since then, the band has welcomed new guitarists Henry Alcock-White and Joseph Blood, and released a music video for “The Same Things”.
In March 2009, They joined the Sound Of Fiction Tour along with Inward Eye and Mobile. Bend Sinister has played Sled Island Music Festival two consecutive years (2008 & 2009) in Calgary, Alberta.
In 2007, The Rebellion literally came together from the far corners of the world, struggled their way from war torn countries, escaped Soviet Occupation and wrestled constant emotional conflict to become one of Canada’s newest and most exciting bands. Heading back and forth across Canada the group has engulfed live audiences across the nation, playing such prestigious festivals as 2008 Canadian Music Week, and 2007 Juno Awards Festival, showcasing the groups home town of Saskatoon, Sk Canada.
The Rebellion began when J-Palm started jamming with multi-instrumentalist Silviu “Slick Man” Moldovan. After realizing their chemistry together, they added Christian Kongawi on drums and Rylan Shultz on bass and “BAM” The Rebellion was born. The name signifies past struggles and future visions.
In 2008, In Flight Safety invited The Rebellion to support their Saskatchewan dates, and since then they’ve been very happy to share the stage with Indie Pop rockers, Hey Ocean, The Bourn Ruffians, Obijou, The Weakerthans and Joel Plaskett.
